Announcement

Just a head's up for our Marked readers. Life's been all kinds of crazy still this past month, and isn't looking like settling down for a few more weeks. Because of this, we've decided to put Marked on indefinite hold (same goes for Be Careful What You Wish For, of course). We apologize for the break, and are sincerely sorry that it's even necessary, but our sanity comes first. We are doing everything we can to get back into a writing groove (something that's proven to be elusive beyond the occasional drabble here and there) so that we can get back to our boys. We miss them even more than you do.

Thank you for all your patience and kind support. Eye Candy will continue to post daily, and you will see an update here and there if we have one to share, but not for our chaptered stories.

We will be back.

Marked 29 - All the Things You Are

A/N: As always, we'd like to thank our wonderful betas and pre-readers, EchoesOfTwilight, kimberlycullen10, and theladyingrey42. You all keep us sane and help make our words prettier - we love you!

Our apologies for the wait, we hope you'll find it worth it.

We don't own Twilight, but these boys own us.

ooOoo

The jolt of the landing gear on the tarmac was more welcome than I could remember it being in a long time. I knew it was still several hours before I would see Jasper, but being back in Boston brought a sense of peace. I smiled as I pulled out my phone, turning it back on and looking at the latest picture of Jasper as I waited for us to be ready to get off the plane.

And waited.

And waited.

Announcement

For the Record:

We're working on getting ahead again on Marked. We will begin posting again as soon as we are able. We apologize for the delay, but real life comes first. We are sure you understand.

Be Careful What You Wish For is on hold until we are done with our FGB obligations. It is not forgotten, and we will continue it. FGB is just taking us longer than expected (bare in mind that this means the story will be more than was bargained for, for you as a reader, as well ;-) )

Eye Candy is posting daily on the blog and on TwiWrite, so please check there if you're not seeing it on ff.net.

Housekeeping

Just a quick note to let you know that there will be no Marked update, unfortunately. Both of us have not been feeling our best, and have stuff going on.

We hope you understand. We are trying to get the next chapter out as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we hope you continue to enjoy the Candy boys.

Announcement Regarding Marked

We're sorry to say that there won't be an update this coming Sunday for Marked. Between naelany being sick and SorceressCirce being very busy, it just isn't in the charts. We will do our best to get one out as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

Whitlock-Masen Recommended by Jazzella

Jazzella wrote a sweet rec for her Mancandy Monday, on the "treasure trove" of Whitlock-Masen. Always nice to start your day with something like that ;-) Thank you for your kind words, sweet lady!

Whitlock-Masen Recommended By Simone & Marie

Simone wrote an amazing rec for not just one of our stories, but three! Marked, Eye Candy, and Beyond the Gaze of a Boy all got a chance to shine, not to mention that she also showered us with praise. I think we're both still blushing and wearing goofy grins.

Thank you so, so much, Simone & Marie, for your wonderful words. You definitely made our day :-)

Announcement - The Twilight No Stress Love Fest!

From Whitlock-Masen

OnTheTurningAway and naelany are hosting The Twilight No Stress Love Fest, starting today! We wanted to spread a little love around and thought that Valentine's Day would be perfect. However, we didn't want another contest, so we took a page from the HP fandom and decided on a prompted fest. To find out more, go to http://community.livejournal.com/twi_love_fest/283.html

We want everything: canon, non-canon, slash, poly, AU, AH - as long as there's love involved. All entries must be anonymous, though, as we're planning to let people have a little fun at the end by guessing who wrote what – or even who created what. That's right – we don't only want stories, but we want your art, too. Banners, drawings, manips, whatever you like. Bring it!

The Slashtastics

Hi all!

We just wanted to let you know about something exciting that we're both taking part in. Thirty slash authors have joined together to write a fanfic we lovingly call the "Big Gay Story" - and it will begin posting Friday, January 14! This is a round robin sort of story, so each author decides what will happen during her chapter.

Check out The Slashtastics profile on ffnet, and be sure to sign up for an author alert so you'll receive a notice for each chapter. We have a backlog of chapters and are planning to update every Friday, assuming there are no real-life issues for a given author.

We can't give away too much, but we can tell you that it's Edward/Jasper and should be happy.  We can't even tell you how it ends because we don't know yet!  Naelany is up for chapter 4 (already written :)), and SorceressCirce will be writing chapter 16.  To see who else is writing for this fantastic collaboration, click the read more button!

Announcement

We want to advise you to check your inbox on January 1, 2011. A new drabble arc will begin that was also a FGB piece. It's called Eye Candy.

We look forward to sharing those boys with you every day... for the next year. Yes, you heard right. A drabble a day might not keep the doctor away, but it should hopefully at least bring a smile (and possibly a tear or two) to your day. We will try our best to post early in the morning (well, if you're living on PST time at least), but there may be days posts won't go up until the early evening.

The FGB pieces that were won by Team Whitlock-Masen (a one-shot that's turned into a chapter fic and the two AXO chapters) are still in the works. They will be sent to the members of Team WM first and then posted here in due time. Until then, we trust you will enjoy some candy.

After all, we sweetened the deal by quite a bit ;-)

Fandom For Preemies

As some of you may know (though most of you probably don't), I'm the Godmother of a precious little boy who recently started his latest adventure - Kindergarten. I say latest adventure, because his life's been riddled with them, and not of the joyous kind.

He was born prematurely and had a fair few (I'm being generous in my understatement here) health issues his first weeks of life. He spent a good part of it in NICU, and it was touch and go for a while. He made it through, because he's a champ, and he's overcome every stumbling block put in his way. Sometimes with leaps and bounds, other times merely by crawling over them, or by simply going around them. He, to this day, deals with the consequences of his preemie-status, but it is due to his amazing parents who are fighting for him tooth and nail, and doing everything within their power to help him. Something not altogether easy, since there's a lot of red tape involved, unfortunately.

Either way, this little man has come a long way, and I'm sure he'll continue to do us all proud.

It has just come to my attention that there is something under way within the fandom, though, that I could not ignore (where I have been these past few months, I don't know, but I literally only just learned about it). Fandom For Preemies is an effort to raise funds for the March of Dimes. Much like was done for Haiti, and for Nashville (as well as for victims of hate-crimes), authors have banded together to offer a collection of stories - fanfiction, or original - for those who donate to the March of Dimes. SorceressCirce and I discussed the matter, and decided we'd like to join this endeavor, and signed up. While we are both very busy (and utterly insane to be taking on more), this was something neither of us felt we could ignore.

So please, check out the Fandom For Preemies site, and consider donating to this worthy cause. Preemies don't have a choice, they just fight to live. Help us help them (and their families).
